Standard Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

  • By accessing or using Pocket Labs, you agree to these Terms of Service.
  • If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the platform.

Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating or using your learner account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality and all activity under your account.
  • Pocket Labs may suspend access if account misuse, fraud, or policy breaches are identified.

Learning Use and Conduct

  • Course materials and assessments must be used for legitimate personal learning purposes.
  • Cheating, impersonation, plagiarism, certificate misuse, or disruptive behavior is prohibited.
  • You must follow classroom and online assessment rules published by Pocket Labs.

Assessment, Results, and Certification

  • Assessment decisions are made against course learning outcomes and internal quality standards.
  • Certificates are issued only when all academic and conduct requirements are met.
  • Appeals, complaints, and malpractice investigations follow Pocket Labs procedures.

Reasonable Adjustments and Accessibility

  • Pocket Labs supports reasonable adjustments and special consideration requests where appropriate.
  • Requests should be submitted within required timelines and must not compromise assessment integrity.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • Pocket Labs processes personal data under Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR-aligned principles.
  • Data is processed lawfully, securely, for specified purposes, and retained only as necessary.
  • Learners may request access, correction, restriction, objection, or deletion where legally applicable.

Intellectual Property

  • All course content, branding, documents, and platform materials are owned by Pocket Labs or licensed to Pocket Labs.
  • You may not copy, redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit materials without written permission.

Service Availability and Changes

  • Pocket Labs may update content, features, schedules, and policies to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Access may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

Limitation of Liability

  • Pocket Labs provides services in good faith and with reasonable skill and care.
  • To the extent allowed by law, Pocket Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from platform use.

Termination

  • Pocket Labs may restrict or terminate access where terms, assessment integrity, or safeguarding requirements are breached.
  • Relevant records may be retained where required for compliance, quality assurance, or legal obligations.
